How you can market your MLM Business on the Internet.

When you first join any MLM business you are full of ambition and enthusiasm because the prospect of getting new customer's and other like minded people to follow you in looks very easy because as you think it is a great opportunity so you think that others will share your views, but in reality it is not like that at all and pretty soon you are knocked back because you have gone through your long list of family, friends and acquaintances and although some people have said they like your product and services and are a bit interested they have not purchased any of your products nor has any one decided that they want to join you in your business, this is because you are just starting out and have not made any profits, in fact you are running at a loss so your prospects decide to wait until they see you raking in profits and of course this never happens because you have exhausted your list of contacts and you become a nuisance to them by keep talking to them about your business. What you need is a constant flow of new leads and prospects to come to you and although this may not seem possible it really is as there are billions of people in the world and quite a few of them that are always looking for ways to improve their lifestyle and earn extra cash. If you think about how many people there are in the world the numbers will scare you, 300 million people in the USA alone, just think about that figure for a moment, and then think about Facebook, how many members around the world have joined? This is only a tiny fraction of the worlds population and more being born and growing up each and everyday, last years students have now finished their education have entered the corporate world and have found it tough to make a fantastic living, and people that where thriving in their profession six months ago have now found them selves suddenly with no future because of job loss or their circumstances have changed for the worse, the list goes on and on, so you can never run out of prospects.

How do you reach all these prospects, how can you tell someone about your opportunity when you live in London and they live in a remote part of the USA?, well most people today are connected to or have access to the World Wide Web or as it is commonly known, The Internet, and if you know how to use it efficiently you can prospect for like minded people that would join you in your business or buy one of your high quality products. I am not talking about advertising using expensive methods such as pay per click as those of you who have heard of it will know that unless you know what you are doing is very costly and yields little results and once you stop advertising your income from it will dry up too, and even if you do know what you are doing, it will still cost thousands of dollars. As a leader you need to put your self on The Internet so that you can be found by any one that is looking for you or your opportunity and you also need to build up trust with your prospects so that they can get to know and like you and what you have to offer them, nobody is going to make any purchases from someone that they have never heard of and who is not a brand name. You need to attract people to you by offering a product that they are looking for, you need to have your own website that you can publish your articles, opportunity and products to, a website that you are in control of, I am not talking about a generic website that was given to you when you joined your company, although these look great, they will not on their own market your business for you, nobody will find it at all unless you put right under their nose. Mask forwarding.

If you have joined an MLM company you were most probably given a generic website, it will have a very long website address or URL that will be very hard for someone to remember, it would probably be something like this (the following address is fictitious and goes to a blank page);

...as you can see it is very long because it is unique to you, and if someone did come across it is possible for your name to removed so that if the viewer should purchase anything you would miss out on the commission that would have been due to you, so it is very important for you to purchase a domain name and point it to your generic website using a method that is known as mask forwarding, and what I mean by that is that your domain name will display your generic website when the domain name is typed into an address bar in a web browser and only your domain name will show so it cannot be altered, this is very easy to do from your domain registrar account and I will explain this in greater detail later on in this website.

When you have your link masked forwarded you will want to put it somewhere where it can be found easily and where people can click on it, it is no good just sending your link to people that you know by e-mail with a few words asking them to take a look at your site, you need to put it on your own website with a good write up of your product and your opportunity to make people interested in what you have to offer, and tell them all about your product and why they should buy from you. If you have registered your domain name at Godaddy you can have ninety sub domains giving you ninety one links in all from a single domain purchase, with which you can point to different pages of your generic website, for example you may have a specific product that you want to promote so you can have a sub domain just pointing to that products page, I hope that I am making sense to you but if you don't understand please feel free to contact me via the contacts page.

You need to have your own website with which you can use to promote your own products on, having a generic site from your MLM company is just no good as you are not in control of the content that is on it nor can you up load keywords that will make your site easy to be found by anyone that requires the information that is on it, and also you are unable to see the statistics of your visitors, you are able to do all of these things if you have your own site. It is not difficult to own a website nor is it expensive, you do need a few things and I will go through these in as much detail as I can, the first thing that you need is pretty much obvious, a domain name that is purchased by you from a domain registrar such as Godaddy and is registered to you, if you visit Godaddy you can see that domain names are not expensive and you do need to register your domain for at least two years or more, the longer the better as this will help you rank better in the search engines, you also need to have a hosting account with which to host your website on, and although this may sound like it is expensive it is very cheap and you can have one for around $5.99 per month, yes you read that right a measly five dollars and ninety nine cents will allow you to have one website on line but please take my advice here and upgrade to a deluxe hosting account that will allow you to host multiple websites for $7.99 per month because if you are serious enough about your MLM business you will want to have more than one website and the extra two dollars will be well worth it.

When you have your hosting account you will need website building software, your hosting account will come with site building software and you can build a site with this using one of the many templates that are available and Godaddy will also offer to build it for you for a fee and you may want to do this, but it is far better to buy website building software and build your own site, apart from learning how websites work, you do not need to be super technical, you just need basic PC skills, you can put just about anything that you want in to your own site and make it work just the way that you want.
